A new leaf

    Hi everyone and welcome back to the newest and latest post!

    "Where the hell have you been and what's new, dude?"

    I have been refreshed, I HAVE BEEN LIBERATED! I'm not some weird cultist- I just have been lifted from my year long character block. It's been such a frustrating time but now, thanks to friends and new friends, I am motivated once more. 

    "So... what caused this to happen??"

    Here's what happened:

    D&D? What? A nerd's game, I know. We tried it, we did it virtually, it was cheesy and awkward but very fun. Thanks to my friend, Matt, he was the DM and guided the campaign with his funky wizard, Wizzdog. I made a gnome who would only be a temporary character but I was renewed.

STILL- THAT WASN'T ENOUGH.

Not for me, oh no. I needed more characters. It had been so long that I was actually pleased with a character! I tried making another D&D character but we never got to do it again. We might soon, but we will see. I couldn't, for the life of me, draw my newest character right. Something felt off and I was trying to break through a conveniently timed art block.

LUCKILY-

Thank the heavens - well, actually thank Taylor - She had just found a new group of friends who had been starting a new story, called the The Grand Kingdom: God Save the King. It was small at first but they had created a story line that they wanted to pursue.

Here are the basics written by the lovely Taylor:

THE PLOT 
we all graduate from the academy of wallington, as top of the class students, people who are built different, the king calls us for our aid. the king is dying and needs us to go hunt down BBEG(big bad evil guy) for something that can cure the king's illness. when we confront BBEG, he tries to convince our party to team with him and assassinate the king. our party fights about it and eventually splits into two, now rivaling against each other and fighting for the king and BBEG's lives.

SESSION 1 RECAP 
the gang met up at the kings castle and were given a task to kill the matriarch lich who holds blood that can cure the king's ailment. they speak with the king and introduce themselves before stepping into the hallway and decide to go to the orc camp, where the matriarch lich was last seen. dulcet finds a mysterious key in her scroll and the group keeps it for later, in case it's related to something during their mission.

The world isn't original, but the people in the group and the way it is done just pulls you in. A lot of them are quite young, mostly freshmen. Still, it's just so enjoyable, I don't know how they do it. 

Not every character has a reference but I will show the characters so far. (I plan on drawing everyone's character and Bri, a fellow writer and artist, is drawing a giant piece with every character in it.

Creator VS Character: Part 1

So, today we're going to be talking about a show on Netflix called Hannibal. Iris and I both binged the first two seasons and we are now watching the third season together.
