Super Cool Untitled World

    Hey there, it's Cella back with another post. It's been a while but I'm still alive. This post and my next post will be dedicated to world building. We are going to be starting off with one that I am creating with the help of some friends and next time we will be joined by a pro-world builder, my good friend, Matt.

    But for now, I thought I'd start off with the basics since my world is still being created and walk you through our process. Next time, you will be seeing a successful and well-developed world. 

    "So, Cella, what are the basics of your world?"

    We have no name for the world/ story yet. It's just called "super cool thing" as of right now. It was officially started on December 14th, 3:09 pm. It was created by me and my friend Zv who was in one of my recent posts about character pet peeves. Anyways, let's start.

    The Basics:

    Genre: Sci-fi

        Sub-genres: Military, dystopian, and alien.

    Main Planets:
(Biggest to smallest)

        Signonus: "Center of the Universe" ; "Empire Planet," Signonus is the leading power in the universe. It is an empire, lead by a single person under a structure of individuals who all serve the emperor. It is a heavily military based planet and surprisingly has many biomes. It's capital is Vlario, a bustling city.

        Ratar: "Ghost Planet" ; "Hollow Planet," Ratar is a planet without a core with little citizens remaining on it. It used to be the greatest hot spot in the universe for artists and architects. However, the planet was stripped of it's core for resources of a new revolutionary material, metallic hydrogen. Citizens fled to Signonus, fearing getting caught up in the destruction of the planet. Still, it stands and no one visits the planet unless they are looking for ghosts.

        Restricted Planet 3584-B: "Earth," An ancient planet that is now a wasteland riddled with war machines possessed with a dangerous malware that caused it to target all human life. Remaining humans refused help from Signonus, because it would render them no longer an independent planet. Signonus attacked Earth with nuclear weaponry. It is unknown if humans exist on Earth anymore, due to the outbreak of attacks from the malware and Signonus. It is also a dangerous environment to live in with killing machines and mutated creatures roaming the lands.

    So, that's the basic information about the planets. There's more I've written about the universe as a whole such as technologies for weapons, prosthetics and transportation. However, that's a lot so I'll go over a basic magic system I created for the universe that I am a little proud of. 

    E.D.E.N.S:

    Reality is sandwiched with different planes of existence. None of the other realities are visible to the character's eyes. However, there are special circumstances that allow characters to come into contact with the space in between. Only characters who have near death experiences or N.D.E.'s have a chance to access this space in between. 

    Why is this so special? It is said that those who have N.D.E.'s and supposedly reached the space in-between have returned with new found abilities. Some have been able to speak new languages fluently and some have gained supernatural powers. 

    No one knows what happens during these N.D.E.'s and what causes them to return with superb abilities. However, as these rumors began to spread, suicide rates sky-rocketed. These rumors were shut down by the government, claimed to be qualified as enemy propaganda. 

    These abilities are called EDENs. It is a play on word of the acronym N.D.E.

This is still a work in progress but I'd like to mention the team working on this world. 

    Zv: Leading story creator, creator of Signonus, and overseer of military information.

    Me: Second highest story creator, creator of Ratar, overseer of universe technology and magics information.

    Vlad: Creator of Wasteland Earth and overseer of the machines.

    Iris: Flora and fauna director and expert in species and races.

    Nides: Lore writer, manager of scientific explanations (cause he's the smartest), and our mentor.

What we have planned!

       - Creating a bounty hunter system where Earth's machines and mutated creatures have high prices on the black market

        - Refining our space hub, the center of all space jump portals.

        - Refine the Signonus underground fighting arenas.
